ABOUT US

Hi, I’m Sean Wilson, owner and operator of Padlock’d Escape Rooms.

After graduating from Queensland University of Technology with a degree in Technical Production, I was introduced to escape rooms by friends — and quickly became hooked. What began as a curiosity turned into a passion for creating immersive, story-driven environments filled with puzzles, soundscapes, and atmospheric lighting.

In March 2018, I launched Padlock’d with a vision to build escape rooms that felt like cinematic adventures. Since then, and with the support of a brilliant local team and generous mentors, we’ve designed and built 30 unique escape rooms over the years — each handcrafted and creatively driven.

Today, Padlock’d employs over 50 local staff and has become a must-visit destination for both Gold Coast locals and tourists. But we’re more than just an entertainment venue — we’re committed to giving back, regularly supporting local charities, community events, and grassroots teams through fundraising, sponsorships, and donations.

What drives us is simple: creating unforgettable experiences, while staying rooted in the community that helped us grow.

My staff and I welcome you to Padlock'd to come and escape reality with us.
